Umuada Igbo Michigan and Great Lakes is a community of proud Igbo daughters united by heritage, sisterhood, and service. Rooted in the values of our ancestors, we are committed to preserving and promoting Igbo culture while making a positive impact in our local communities and beyond.
We are more than an organization — we are sisters, mothers, daughters, and leaders bound by love, unity, and the spirit of onye aghala nwanne ya (“let no one leave a sister behind”).

Our Vision
From the spark of an idea to the strength of a united sisterhood, our journey has been nothing short of inspiring. As Umuada Igbo, we came together with one heart — to uplift, to preserve our culture, and to give back to our communities both here in the Great Lakes region and back home in Nigeria.
